Invest (who said this was a cheap addiction?) in a few different fly boxes. The plastic ones with ripple foam on one side and flat on the other are great (the expensive metal boxes are begging to be lost - don't waste the money). Organize your flies according to the type of fishing you do; one box for lakes, one for rivers, another for sea runs, steelhead, salmon, etc. Then, when you hit the water, you only take one box that's focused on your quarry for that day instead of the whole arsenal.
